- Recruit new Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers

- Cover the costs of background checks and insurance, while ensuring trained   professionals match children to caring and responsible Bigs

- Offer one-on-one, ongoing supervision and support for every match

- Provide cultural and social activities to enrich the opportunities for children

Bigs and Littles have fun together — and create memories that last a lifetime.

We call it “Little moments … Big magic.” Research points to the powerful, positive, lasting impact Bigs have on children’s lives. Littles are:

• 52% less likely to skip school
• 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
• More likely to get along with their families and peers

• Date: Saturday, July 11th
• Time: 9 AM to 4 PM
• Place: Wal-Mart Parking Lot in Round Lake Beach by the Garden Center
• Cost: Whatever you'd like to donate

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lake County has registered itself in the eScrips program for raising money while shopping at Dominick's. Here's how to register:

• Go to www.escrip.com and sign up under the "Make a Difference in 4 easy steps" box.

• Register yourself and your Fresh Values card.

Every time you shop at Dominick's make sure you use your Fresh Values card and up to 4% of your purchases will be credited to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lake County!

                                                                                     Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lake County has partnered with Chili's locations in Gurnee and Waukegan.  Starting April 1st thru June 30th, on Tuesdays & Thursdays, Chili's will donate 10% of your purchases to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lake County.  Please click the link below to print the voucher and take it with you the next time you eat at Chili's.
